Client notes

Notes from retailers and catalogue teams who commissioned returns and refund rate visualisation with ForestPoint System.

“They redraw our winter returns spike as a wall panel the warehouse team actually used during morning huddles. We still argue about sizing tolerances — that debate was overdue.”
Mara Quinn · Returns lead · Midland catalogue brand · Returns Rate Audit
“The refund lag board showed our finance release sitting two days behind warehouse scan. Not glamorous, but it fixed a queue we had blamed on the carrier for months.”
Dev Patel · Ops manager · Outdoor kit retailer · Refund Pattern Brief
“Workshop energy was high; a couple of buyers wanted more SKU-level grain than we could justify in one afternoon. ForestPoint noted the limit on the caption sheet instead of overselling the map.”

Extended note: January clearance board set

A West Midlands homewares retailer asked us to rebuild last January’s return picture before committing clearance depth for soft furnishings. The extract mixed own-site and marketplace refunds with inconsistent reason labels.

We spent the first week collapsing free-text notes into eight shared codes, then drew three boards: reason mix, lag from receipt to refund, and category heat by margin. The findings session surfaced a cushion-cover fit issue the CX scripts had buried under “changed mind.”

Buying adjusted two size charts and rewritten product copy before the next peak. Returns in that family fell the following season; we were invited back only for a lighter Refund Pattern Brief — which suited everyone.
